The 2024 National NAIDOC Week theme is
Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud.”
The fire represents the enduring strength and vitality of First Peoples cultures, passed down through generations despite the challenges faced. It is a symbol of connection to the land, to each other, and to the rich tapestry of traditions that define Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
Blak, Loud and Proud encapsulates the unapologetic celebration of First Peoples identity, empowering us to stand tall in our heritage and assert our place in the modern world. This theme calls for a reclamation of narratives, an amplification of voices, and an unwavering commitment to justice and equality.

To mark  NAIDOC Week, KHT is partnering with Aboriginal Melbourne, City of Melbourne and Fed Square to present this First Peoples Market of over 25 stalls, showcasing art, craft, design, fashion and more – as well as free workshops facilitated by First Peoples creatives.

  • Friday 12 July 2024, 3pm – 6pm
  • Saturday 13 July 2024, 10am – 3pm

Stallholders to be announced soon.

NAIDOC in The City will be happening at Fed Square on the Friday – with lots of entertainment and opportunities to connect with community and Culture.

Support our local makers and small businesses, and celebrate the joy of NAIDOC!
