In this full-day workshop at Signal and the Koorie Heritage Trust, artist Josh Muir will lead young people through a creative process to express their emotions and create individual and collaborative works inspired by his current exhibition JOSH X MUIR.

Step 1: SPLASH

Splash is about having fun through the expression of emotion. Splash encourages participants to let go, get creative and messy, and to create a large collaborative artwork using paint balloons and water guns. This work will form the base of the final outcome.

Step 2: ICON

While the canvas is drying, participants will walk down to the Koorie Heritage Trust to view Josh’s exhibition, JOSH X MUIR and will make stickers using symbols and iconography inspired by their own experiences.

Once the stickers have been created, the participants will have the option to place their creations over the collaborative artwork, or they may choose to take them home.

  • Date: Saturday 20 October
  • Time: 11am – 4pm
  • FREE
  • Appropriate for ages 13 to 25 years.
  • All welcome.

The workshop will start and finish at Signal, Northbank, Flinders Walk, Melbourne VIC 3000
