KIDS COLLAGE MAKING WITH PETER WAPLES-CROWE

Peter Waples-Crowe (Ngarigo), Outsider, 2018, acrylic on canvas, image by James Henry.

Mirrigang (wild dog) Ngarigu language.

Peter Waples-Crowe is a Ngarigo artist who’s spirit animal is the dingo. Since an early age he has used the symbol of the Dingo as a symbol of freedom. The dingo is our native dog but in most of Australia is not protected and the alpine species is on the verge of extinction.

In this collage workshop participants will work images of the dingo to create stories of survival and to honour them and their relationship to Aboriginal people.
