Are you an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander resident in Victoria, aged between 25-40 and would like to develop your Board governance experience and skills.
Are you passionate about the not-for-profit Indigenous sector, committed to contributing to our Victorian Indigenous community and values-based leadership?
If you are, we are interested in hearing from you. Applications are now open for you to join the Koorie Heritage Trust Board through the 2020 Board Observership Program.
Established in Sydney in 2014 and modelled on a similar successful program in the United States, The Observership Program provides training and practical experience for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander residents of Victoria in not-for profit board leadership for a period of 12 months. By joining the Board of the Koorie Heritage Trust under this program, you will be provided with valuable networking opportunities and meet other like-minded young professionals on a similar path to leadership while participating in a training program through the Australian Institute of Company directors and contributing to the future success of the Trust.
Further information on the Observership Program and the online application form can be found here. Alternatively, please contact Catherine Reiser (Director, Melbourne Observership Program), on (m) 0400 454 250 or (e) email@example.com.
While there is a non-refundable application-processing fee of $50, the fee can be waived for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants.
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS FOR INDIGENOUS CANDIDATES HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO MIDNIGHT, Sunday 25 August 2019.
Applications are to be submitted online through the link provided above.
The Koorie Heritage Trust is proud supporter of the Observership Program.
